Introduction
In the heart of gentle Normandy lies the ancient province of Le Perche.

A land where time slows down
Dotted with manor houses and authentic old buildings, and framed by forests of beech and centuries old oak trees, time seems to slow its wild pace here.
A luminous and historic province, the stones of its villages and towns whisper their own stories.
Bellême, a charming historic town
I visited the town of Bellême (Orne), a historic town that is both charming and captivating.
Discovering Le Perche on horseback
Horseback riding also allowed me to discover the Norman landscape in a completely different way.
I also visited the horses of Le Grand Refuge, based in Pervenchères (Orne). A moving place, where the residents are simply waiting to be loved.
Le Perche is also the birthplace of an impressive draft horse, easily recognized by its grey or black coat, known as the Percheron.
A land you can explore with your eyes closed
You could almost find your way here with your eyes closed… or nearly!
